Jak chronić słuch dzieci
🔒 SafeSound® – ochrana sluchu dětí
- LAMAX headphones are built with SafeSound® technology, which automatically limits maximum volume. Every model is carefully tested to ensure audio is loud enough for enjoyable listening, yet never exceeds the safe level recommended for children’s hearing. Thanks to a combination of laboratory testing and real-world trials, parents can feel confident that their children are listening safely — without risking long-term hearing damage.
- Some models allow you to choose between 75 dB, 85 dB or 94 dB, depending on your child’s age and how noisy the environment is.
- Protecting children’s hearing is essential. According to recent studies, up to 12.5% of children aged 6–19 already show signs of hearing damage caused by long-term exposure to loud headphones (CDC, 2023). Excessive noise can harm the delicate hair cells inside the inner ear, affecting speech, understanding and school performance (WHO, 2019).That’s why prevention matters. Limiting volume and choosing safe headphones lets children enjoy music without the risk of permanent hearing loss(CDC, 2023; WHO, 2019).
Many parents never talk to their children about protecting their hearing — and we want to change that. Children’s ears are extremely sensitive, and constant exposure to loud noise can have serious, lifelong consequences.
Hearing problems in childhood can lead to:
- delayed speech development,
- learning difficulties
- communication problems
- social isolation
Today’s children spend far more time with electronics than previous generations. In fact, screen time for children aged 0–8 has tripled since 2013 (Common Sense Census). That means more frequent and more intense exposure to loud sounds — raising the risk of noise-induced hearing loss.
And that’s the key issue: Hearing loss is irreversible. Once it happens, it cannot be undone.
We want parents and children to talk about hearing health before problems arise. We only get one sense of hearing, and it deserves protection.
Simple rules for protecting children’s hearing
- Follow the 60/60 rule: max 60% volume for no more than 60 minutes at a time.
- Avoid loud environments: if surroundings are noisy, lower the volume or use noise-cancelling headphones.
- Use hearing protection: at concerts, festivals or loud events, use kids’ ear defenders or foam plugs.
- Don’t over-clean ears: earwax protects the ear canal.
- Encourage physical activity: good circulation supports ear health and overall wellbeing.
